Thai Basil Seeds
This is the true strain of Thai basil that is used in Vietnamese and Thai cooking. Thai Basil is an easy to grow herb and it has great flavour that is very unique. The flavour is similar to anise, although the fragrance is less licorice like. Compared to the other varieties it is especially great for cooking as it will hold its flavour well throughout the cooking process.
How to Grow Thai Basil
Basil loves the heat and prefers the warmer months to grow. Depending on your location it may be better to start the seeds in late spring to early summer. The seeds can be started indoors and then transplanted outside in the warmer months. If starting indoors choose a sunny and warm location.
