Description
Burgundy Okra Seeds
Burgundy okra is a high-yielding heirloom variety. The delicious, dark red pods retain their colour after being cooked. It grows up to 5′ tall. Pods taste best at approx. 3″ long, but remain tender even up to 8″ long. Like all okra, it tastes great in stir-fries, soups and stews.
How to Grow Okra
Plant in full sun. Prefers rich, well-draining soil with a pH of 6.5 to 7. Before sowing, soak the seeds overnight in water; this helps to soften the outer shell. Start okra seeds indoors 3-4 weeks before the last frost. For outdoors, directly sow seeds 3-4 weeks after the last frost. Plant seeds 1/2″ deep and 12″ apart. Matures in 60 days.

100% germination. Hadn’t grown okra before. I started them too early but seed was fantastic.
