The French dandelion is an improved variety that has larger leaves than the common dandelion. This strain features large tender fleshy leaves. A quick and easy dandelion salad to make is to use a 1/2 pound of dandelion leaves, 1/2 red onion chopped, two tomatoes chopped, 1/2 teaspoon of dried basil (fresh basil leaves are even better), season with salt and pepper and you’re done. This is a great tasting salad to make.
