Wild Chicory Seeds
Wild Chicory is a biennial herb with medicinal and culinary uses. The flower stalks grow from 2 to 5 feet tall, and produce beautiful blue flowers. Tender young leaves can be eaten raw and added to salads. Older, bitter leaves are often cooked to reduce the bitterness.
How to Grow Wild Chicory
Chicory prefers full sun, and well-draining soil with a pH of 5.5 or higher. Seeds can be started indoors 4-5 weeks before the last frost, or directly sown outdoors after last frost. Sow seeds 1/4″ deep, and 12″ apart.
