How to Grow American Flag Leek

American flag leek is a biennial plant that is hardy in zones 4 to 9. It’s a cold hardy vegetable and seeds are very easy to grow. After the risk of the last frost has passed you can directly sow the seeds outdoors. The plants prefer full sun to partial shade and well-draining soil. Sow the seeds 1/4 inch deep, 6″ inches apart, and separate rows 12″ apart.
